Obligatory Class Introduction Post.

Let's just cut to the chase. My name is Arleen. I am a Taurus, like long walks on the beach and candlelit dinners..just kidding.

Seriously though, my name is Arleen and this is my second semester here at Sacramento State.
I am an Art History major. I hope to specialize in Art in the Americas, more specifically Californian Art or Native American Art. Don't know yet because I keep taking great classes that make me want to change my mind. Either way, California is the best.

Why an Art History major? I took a class at community college and my professor was very enthusiastic about it all. I was contemplating double majoring in History and Art, but this seemed like a perfect marriage of the both. Kenney Mencher is his name! He also has a website, so check him out when you have the time. (Shameless plug.)

Death of Marat..or Death by bordem?
I'm very studious in class, but sometimes I have a hard time focusing if the subject matter seems boring, I've learned about it many times before, or too much to handle.

There's still hope! I'm learning to manage my time better with assignments. So hopefully, I'll be able to update this blog better now than I have in the past.

I'm also very talkative once you get to know me, but tend to be more on the shy and semi-awkward type. I have an hodgepodge of interests that go from watching Forrest Gump, cloud watching, playing Nintendo 64 (Yes, I brought it to college.), and exploring Sacramento.

By the way,

Yes, Professor O'Brien. I was paying attention in class that day. It just made for a good momentary picture pun.

Oh! One more thing! If you wonder where I sit in class, I tend to sit in the back by the backdoor. You see I drink a lot of water during the day..and I think you get it.

Any other questions? Maybe you know of some delicious places to eat near campus or art walks, or activities in Sacramento? Let me know in the comments below.
